It is, but it is not used the way he uses it:

o·ri·en·ta·tion
ˌôrēənˈtāSH(ə)n/Submit
noun
the determination of the relative position of something or someone (especially oneself).
"the child's surroundings provide clues to help in orientation"
the relative physical position or direction of something.
plural noun: orientations
"two complex shapes, presented in different orientations"
synonyms: positioning, location, position, situation, placement, alignment
"the orientation of the radar station"
ZOOLOGY
an animal's change of position in response to an external stimulus, especially with respect to compass directions.

Mind blown. I used to teach English too. Good thing I switched to poker...

Status update on new book. 36 Essays written on 36 hands. Just 64 to go. Looking at September-October as a release date for both kindle and PDF versions.

Any chance the new book (or even TGM) will be made available in paperback form? Although convenient for travel I can't stand reading books of this type on kindle and would prefer a physical copy.

fyi I've already purchased TGM but would gladly buy it again if a physical copy were made available.

There is a chance, yes. Essentially, my plan is to focus on coaching and getting this new book out for the next few months, then when I enter the publicising phase, I'll be looking into the option of getting them published in print and whether it's worth it.

I totally undersatand the appeal of a real life book. I wouldn't read an online book if a hard copy was available, no matter what the subject.

Yeah same I'd prefer a hard copy.

That said, how will this look on a bog standard kindle? I imagine it would be pretty bad?

Which kindle would it come out best on? paperwhite or fire? any feedback from people who have read it on kindle would be great

Question - if I purchase this on Amazon and get the Kindle version do I also get sent the PDF version too? I think I read this somewhere.

Or alternatively if I purchase the PDF version of Carroter's site can I get the Kindle version sent to me?

Cheers

Yes.

Support authors over Amazon and they'll support you.

Bought the book a while ago, and really like it!!

Only thing i hate about it, is having to read it on a screen, because e-book.

Therefore, going to print it tomorrow so I can flip through the pages

that looks awesome ! Did you order this from a website or some local shop ? I don't really want to pay $60 to print an ebook I already paid the same for.

I had a copyshop print it for me.

It sucks to pay $50 for something you already paid for, I know... but I just wasn't reading it in PDF because I don't like reading off a screen. I rather pay twice for something that I do read, than pay once for something I will never read

Hopefully the wisdom in this book will pay back the printing costs anyhow!

What sort of weirdos still read printed books in this day and age? Get with the times and help save the rainforest.

Quick Little Update Guys:

I have right now, just this second, finished writing the analysis of the 100th hand of 100 Hands. I will be spending the next 2-3 weeks making final edits and improvements and will be releasing the book by the end of the month, all going smoothly.

If you liked Grinder's Manual, and want to build upon the difficulty level of that text, then I am confident that you will love 100 Hands. Stay tuned.

So, I get this book is for online 6 max BUT, what value would a winning live 2/5 player get from it?

Just curious.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to update you that 100 Hands is now available. I have put the link to the 100 Hands page of my website below where there is a free sample and a link to purchase. Mods, if this is not okay and needs to be removed then I understand.

Thank you all so much for your continuous enthusiasm for The Grinder's Manual. If it were not for the poker community and the twoplustwo community's support and very positive reviews, I don't know if I would have found the motivation to write 100 Hands.

Thanks guys and sorry for the long wait between books!

Please feel free to ask me any questions about 100 Hands here until a review thread has been made. I hope to have plenty of discussion on here with you guys just as we did with The Grinder's Manual.

Cheers,

Pete.

^^Awesome!! But once again, only as e-book, or any chance for a "proper" book this time, as well?

No promises but I will be looking into publishing both books as real books in the not too distant future.
