QUESTION: Harrington: 6-Max No-Limit Hold 'Em QUESTION: Harrington: 6-Max No-Limit Hold 'Em

I'm a beginner and I just read about 90% of this book and I have some follow up questions:

(Note: I understand that later in the book it goes into great detail about basing decisions on HUD information but the following questions assume that no HUD information is available.)

I'm using the starting hand range found on p.260

The book only details starting hand ranges for "open raises." But what if 1 person has entered the pot before you? What starting hand range should I use then? Should I call or re-raise. And if I re-raise, by how much?

What size raise should I pick when open raising from the SB?
(The book gives a starting hand range for open raising in the SB but it does not give advice on what size the raise should be. The book gives advice on what size the opening raise should be for every position but SB.)

I have spotted a spelling error in the book; should I contact someone here to report it?

Additional Questions:

The book gives a list of card combinations and claims that they are the top x% of opening hands. But the book does not back up that claim with any evidence. What is Harrington's methodology for his list?

I have seen other starting hand range lists from poker authorities which conflict with the starting range list in Harrington's book.
e.g. Harrington claims "this is the top 10% of opening hands" and another authority claims that a different list is the top 10% of opening hands. Which authority should I believe?
For example; some lists hold JJ higher than AKs and some other lists don't.
