Present day live 10/20 limit hold'em - looking for recommendations on most applicable books

Hi,

I've read and reread many books on limit hold'em such as
1)SSHE
2)HPAP
3)Middle Limit Hold'em (Ciaffone)
4)Weighing the Odds (Yao)
5)Advanced Limit Hold'em (Tannenbaum)
6)Internet Texas Hold'em (Hilger 2003 ed)
-have not read the updated version

My problem is that each of the books is either dated, more applicable to limits below 10/20, or more applicable to limits higher than 10/20. Just curious if anyone has either additional books to recommend or feels that one or more of my books is the best available. Thanks for any replies

Surprised you haven't read the Borer, Mak book. http://holdemtight.com/pgs/ar/borer/...egiesborer.htm

I went to your link and read your review. My question is, for myself, who since Black Friday, no longer plays online, is this book helpful for full ring live 10/20? Also, do you have any other book suggestions? Thanks.

The book teaches adaptation, so it will apply, although it is more about net play. Winning in Tough Holdem Games by Stox is great, though more about online. Professional Middle Limit Hold'em by Tristan Steiger is about live play. It is a pretty good book, though I don't think he's as brilliant a tactician as some of the net upstarts.

If you hadn't listed them Ciaffone and Tannenbaum would have been my recommendations. I'm curious as to your perception of what they lack.

Since you've not mentioned them, Theory of Poker (Sklansky) and Inside the Poker Mind by John Feeney.

Idk man sshe is still plenty good & applicable to most live 15/30 & 20/40 games. I think the 1-2 chip structure just makes 10/20 an awfully boring/tighter game.

Just curious, where you are playing 10-20 live. i dont see it spread much.
You might want to incorporate some of the heads up and blind defense ideas from stoxs book although its a 6 max book. also of course read the intelligent poker player.

This might be a little off topic, but I didn't feel it was necessary to create a new thread.

I was wondering what books are good for beginning SSLHE players, Specifically online 6max. I feel like making a change from NLH to LHE.

QFT go read Roy Cooke archives on cardplayer.com too, basically the same material presented in the book from what I understand

There is a book by Borer and Max on 6max, which i am a big fan of. I found one thread and added it below.
