PLO ebook

I found this site today:

http://plo8poker.com/index.php

The site sells an ebook about PLO8. Has anyone read this? If so, is it any good?

Re: PLO ebook

I've never read it or heard of it. I'm paging through the advice on his site and so far it's mostly just normal stuff (but hello huge font), although I find some of the pieces of advice to be a bit weird, like

Quote:
If it is folded to you on the button or the cutoff, you should raise a large percentage of your hands, in excess of 20%.
What? If it folds to me on the button I am raising more like 40-50% depending on how loosely the blinds call.

LOL "Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players" by Sklansky/Zee etc is like $15. So I predict this book is twice as good.

Heh, yeah. But 20%? Come on, that's pretty close to my average PFR in all positions.

Yeah its really good. I haven't entirely read it, but ebooks do irritate me because Adobe Acrobat makes scrolling through pages very tiresome. I can't say I've learnt anything new from it yet but it is really detailed and if it were to go out on paper I would own a copy for sure. There's still a couple of spelling mistakes, but even the best books have them too (prime example would be Harrington on Cash Games).

Re: PLO ebook

I bought a copy. I would much rather have a hard copy for 30 bucks, but when I consider that I regularly make boneheaded monkey-plays that cost 5-10x as much I guess 30 isn't so bad.

When I compare this book to all the other PLO8 books out there, it seems worthwhile

Re: PLO ebook

Is it any more valuable than, say, the plo8 chapter in hwang's book? I'm interested and It only costs a buyin, so if anyone could acually say some concrete stuff about the book that'd be nice.
