It usually takes us a little longer to get the kindle. However, on our last book, Amazon had the kindle before they had the paperback. In any case, we'll get the kindle up as soon as possible. But like many things in the publishing world, we have to rely on others to get certain tasks done, and the time they take can vary from project to project and it's out of our control.

Will this book include an introduction/opening note by Sklansky and Malmuth as Applications did?

I just ordered it through this site; the discount code did not work; but no complaint here; really have enjoyed the 2 + 2 books; and Janda clearly has a lot to say; and very readable; and the analysis from previous book indicates a clear understanding of key features of poker; and very stimulating and helpful information and analysis.. Looking forward to chewing on this book for a few days... ty 2+2 for many years of wonderfull stimulation and help..

I talked with Mason and David much earlier on in the writing of this book though then I did for the last one, so I think a lot of their ideas/feedback were incorporated into the book more directly than they were in Applications.

I live in Indonesia...

Probably mostly just the idea that there are "value bets" or "bluffs" before the river. In reality there's no magical threshold where a hand has become strong enough to now be considered a "value raise" rather than "bluff raise" and most hands that are raised or bet before the river are being bet or raised for similar reasons.

I think Applications was probably pretty good at throwing out a lot of ideas and showing how some commonly accepted poker knowledge had to be wrong (not checking enough as the PFR, not defending enough against raises, always betting around 1/2 PSB or 2/3 PSB, etc). I think this book will have less totally new ideas and concepts to most readers, but will be better at explaining confusing concepts more clearly.
