Just finished reading it. Its a great book, but it mainly focuses on in depth how to use flopzilla, HUD, etc. This is great and something I could have used pre BF, but now with the largest volume of players (to my knowledge anyway, correct me if I'm wrong) being on ignition/bovada for US players, a HUD doesnt help us tremendously. I mean I guess maybe it helps us a little if we FT the mtt we could have a decent number of hands vs 1 or 2 players.

That said he does go into detail in explaining why he uses c/r flop, donk bet, 3 barreling, and when it may be an appropriate time to do so. However, a lot of the times he's using method A, B, or C is predicated on the numbers from the HUD.

I have just finished a speed read and will return to some highlighted sections to interrogate the analysis in the comeing weeks. My twopenneth, fwiw:

Pros:

Not overly taxing to understand the concepts.

Core message is motivational to put hours in.

Has a nice touch of sincerity and humility, like; PFR trends, going broke etc. Things we have all pondered.

Cons:

The writing is poor. Looks like the work of a ghost writer from his teaching notes. You sometimes have to keep re read parts to establish certainty because of poor writing.

It doesn't go into depth on any of the topics but I suppose it doesn't claim to.

You could read the chapter list and find enough information on line to cover each chapter really.

It does debunk some myths, which is what it was supposed to do. I particularly related to the statements about the yesteryears respected Pro's that were often just running good and generalising the game with buzz words (and now are earning $ from coaching). And the value, or not, of hand discussions on forums. I always intuited this and it was nice to see some level of confirmation.

I'm not distraught at the $ spent but I wouldn't pass it to a friend either.
