Re: Moshman's Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Review & Discussion
Mike at the 2p2 store is awesome: I just received the book today (in orange county) after it being shipped I think two days ago. Very fast service. Unfortunately I won't be able to review the book for at least a week or so because of two huge papers I have to write.
I do have some initial impressions:
The back cover photo shot from a low angle is ill. Not as sexy as Moshman's previous back cover photo, which was more intimate and inviting, but this shot paints the man as a dynamic thinker and I'm hoping the content will confirm this.

I got my book in the mail, but wasn't there to pick it up.

I just emailed this to the photographer for both my books (mega-talented Bryan Ranharter), who should get a real kick out of this being the first review

It can take 2-6 more weeks to reach the B&M bookstores outside of Vegas. We do offer DHL 2 day and overnight service at www.twoplustwostore.com.

I thought you looked like a spy. All you need was a gun with a silencer held next to your face.

Re: Moshman's Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Review & Discussion
I received my copy, ordered from the 2p2 store, yesterday. I'll try to post again once I get a good way through it, but it looks great so far.
For those who were asking, Collin thanks these specific 2p2'ers in the Acknowledgments: ChicagoRY, CWar, TNixon, Jay_Shark, and CreedofHubris. I'm not sure if he means he worked with them individually, or was just thanking them in general for their contribution to the HUNL forum, though.

Re: Moshman's Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Review & Discussion
I was planning on leading a discussion + review in the HU forum and probably still will.
Should also help get more interest (assuming reviews are fairly positive) and sales for the book in there as well.
Just a heads up, maybe once the thread is started we can cross link them, but I don't foresee a problem having a thread in both forums, does anybody else?

Re: Moshman's Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Review & Discussion
Well, I scanned through most of the introductory portions which are basically found in any of the NLHE 2p2 books in circulation. For the most part, a more advanced player can skip that section and we well off since it covers more basic principles like pot odds and EV calcs rather than focusing specifically on heads up play.
Otherwise, I haven't read much. The book looks very promising though.

Off topic, but isn't it time 2p2 moved this section to the back of their books?

Re: Moshman's Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Review & Discussion
I have this book too, not sure why I bought it because I don't play much heads up. Where's the hype? Doesn't seem like a lot of buzz about it? Maybe the author should have included 6-max?
