Hi,I haven't got WPT one hand at a time so I'm not sure.
Byron Jacobs,a typical Mid-stakes player takes 80hands,varying from turbos, hyper turbos, super nova elite free rolls and 6max games,he gives his opinion on his play,Chris then comments and Byron draws the conclusion.
I'm really enjoying the book inwould totally recommend it.There's an extract on D&B publishings website.

The book will arrive in our US warehouse today, and from there will ship out to US retailers. Official pub date is 7th November. In Europe copies have already begun shipping out to retailers from our warehouse so should be available for purchase in the next few days.

Can someone tell me why he's made a book when he's filthy rich ;/?

First! (I'm in UK, book was delivered by Amazon - unbelievably good value having just been reduced to £16.99, though I paid £24.99 for it - grr)

Having gotten over my disappointment that he didn’t call it “The Book of Moorman”, I’m actually rather pleased with this book. The approach he takes is similar to that in the “Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time” series, which I’m a big fan of. There are 80 hands analysed in the book, split into several different sections. All the hands were actually played by his co-author, Byron Jacobs. In each one Jacobs summarises the hand and explains why he played the way he did. Then Moorman gives a critique of the play and offers his own analysis, explaining what he would have done. Jacobs then provides conclusions for each hand with key lessons learnt.
(NB - Although all the hands are from various online tournaments, the book will also be useful to cash game players)

I am only partway through this book but do not hesitate in recommending it. Moorman has done a great job at explaining his wisdom, articulating sophisticated thought processes in a clear manner. The only disappointment is that in the rush to publish there seem to have been a lot of mistakes made in the printing, though the strategies remain clear. I look forward to reading the rest of this book, and learning from this guy's great mind.

Would you care to elaborate on the mistakes? I hope they´re not mathematical, as has been the case in another book by a top pro.

No mistakes in maths thus far. It's been stuff like cards mysteriously changing suits and starting in the middle of a sentence. It's been clear what was meant though. If I spot anything serious then I'll let you know...

Would be interesting if any winning midstakes or higher MTT player could give a review and opinion of the book ?

With all but full respect for Chris Moorman, I don't think I will add this book to my collection of 30+ I already own...

I think that the "Professional Tournament" series of Jonathan Little has a lot more to offer!

Having 80-100 hands that someone else played, and commenting on them is a bit too short-sightened approach. We don't need him to tell us what he would do in another players hand history, we would prefer an all around approach to his play only...

Again, I fully respect (obviously) Mr. Moorman (his success speaks for itself), I just feel like this book is something like the Hellmuth books, the most important thing on them all being the success of their author, and not the content itself...

I don't understand why I haven't received my copy from Amazon yet. I preordered and it still shows that it hasn't been released yet. I'm getting ready to cancel it and just order the Kindle edition for my IPad. Has anyone else had problems getting their book. And is it any good?

Hi - I've just checked and it seems they'll be begin shipping on 17th. They've had copies for a while but it does seem to take sometime to process incoming stock through their warehouses and out to customers.

It is available elsewhere of course in the US (and everywhere in the UK and Europe) - B&N, book-a-million etc. Mike at Professional Poker seems to be on vacation so not sure if he has copies in stock. Perhaps he can confirm?

Tournament Poker Edge coach here. Have played with Moorman a fair amount online. I'm only a little way through the book, but it seems very good so far. Explanations are clear and succinct, it's accessible, and doesn't get bogged down in theory too often. Think almost every MTT player would find it useful.

Agreed, I like the content very much.

Nitpicking a bit, I find annoying the incessant use of the word "incredible" by Chris.

Also in hand 20c, Chris recommends 4bet bluffing to 32% of the eff stack (?) and says that if the BB calls the SPR on the flop will be around 1.5 (actually 1.05)
