Limit Holdem Books

I have read Small Stakes Holdem by Sklansky, Miller and Malmuth. I was wondering which other books would be recommended to become a good limit holdem player.

I very much liked 'Think Like a Poker Pro' & 'how good is your Limit Hold'em?' by Byron Jacobs

What do you guys think of Jennifer Harmon's section on LHE in Super System 2? Worth a read?

Adds nothing. May even be harmful. Ignore.

Agreed. I can't think of any other LHE-book to recommend to a low limit player who already knows the basics. They require a bit of thinking, TIPP in particular, but that's a very good thing.

In addition to The Intelligent Poker Player you should probably read Further Limit Hold ’em; Exploring the Model Poker Game by Philip Newall. It should be available before the end of the year.

Best wishes,
Mason

Hi Mason.

I'm glad to see this as I really liked his first book. Just wondering, will any excerpts from this be available in future editions of the 2+2 magazine?

I had the good fortune to talk to Philip on Friday. He said that excepts would be appearing in the 2+2 magazine prior to publication. I don't recall if they already have, or are forthcoming.

Anyway, I found the following two links, and both sound like they might fit into a book:

http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/i...n-overload.php
http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/i...lf-control.php

The second also includes what might be Philip's signature: inclusion of useful references for further reading.
