Kill Everyone.... Bubble factor? Kill Everyone.... Bubble factor?

Im reading this book and on p115 it expains bubble factors and gives an example of how to calculate a factor of 1.24. This is explained and easy to follow
On p117 at the bottom there is an example were on the bubble 4 players have an equal stack of 5,000 (25% equity) and the bubble factor is 1.88 but. It does not show how this is calculated. Using the same method as in the other example you would increase by 25% or decrease by 25% if u go all-in against either of the other stacks. Which would mean your bubble factor is the lowest possible.
I know that im missing something here. But there is no explanation of how to calculate that. And also that the average players bf is 1.2 at the start of the sng.
Has anyone worked this out?
The way i see it is that the method of working it out must be different from the 1st example on p115..

I can take a look at this later, but in the meantime, here's a link the authors' forum, which includes study group material:

It might have your question answered there.

You decrease by 100% and increase by increase by 53%. That's where they get 1.88 from. Losing hurts 1.88x as much as winning does.

Has anyone calculated the average bubble factor on the 180 man turbos?

I'm pretty sure all that stuff is covered in the book. I mean, what's the point of laying out all the theory if not to teach you how to do it yourself? Otherwise they'd just give you a gigantic table of all the buble factors for any field size.

So read, learn, calculate, get enlightened.

Well I actually just got done rereading the book, and they do not give a practical way to calculate the bubble factor for MTTs.
I just think it would be nice to have the numbers when you play the same structure a lot, so I was wondering if anyone had done the work on some of the popular MTT SNG structures.
I guess not.
