This volume is a collection of recent articles written by David Sklansky that have appeared in various publications including Card Player, Poker World and the Two Plus Two Poker Strategy Magazine. A few have never before appeared in print.

Most of the articles are about poker or gambling. However, David has recently branched out into other areas that lend themselves to his unique style of analysis and some of these essays are contained in this book.

From the original book, “Poker and gaming” topics include Being a Favorite, Are Great Players Born? Talent Versus Discipline, The Importance of Position, Never Go Broke, When Time is Not of the Essence, and Is Your Wallet Fat Enough? “Life” topics include What It Is that Makes an Issue Controversial, Coincidences, Some Thoughts on Dying, Legitimate Grievances, and Crime and Punishment.

This expanded addition also contains 32 additional essays, many of which address no-limit hold ’em. “Essays for the Expanded Edition” include Pros Versus Wannabes, Bluff Raising as the Big Blind, Evaluating Expected Value, and Expert Non-Optimum Random Strategy.

Though these essays vary greatly in content, you will find them very thought provoking. Thus, Two Plus Two Publishing proudly brings you these latest examples of David Sklansky’s work.

Is there anything in the original edition that is no longer in the expanded edition? And if so, would anyone actually miss it?

Fuzzy Thinking is a very useful tool in theoretical development and general brain-storming, but as the title implies, it could be a very costly way of playing poker. Fuzzy when you study, clear when you play.

I just got this book today. Good book i really enjoy it. Ive ready about 50 pages so far and i think there are some good eye opening essays/concepts. Ill do a review when im done with this.

Did they take anything out?

This is one of the books I don't own, but am interested in. How do I make sure it is the most recent addition?

this is NOT the latest edition.

You want the expanded edition, and this is stated on the cover.

I don't know if this fits Sklansky's definition of fuzzy thinking in life, but I feel I displayed some in this thread as I was posting while recovering from an illness yesterday and my mind just wouldn't realize that Amazon would differentiate between editions.

There are no plans to redo the kindle at this time. So you'll have to go with the hard copy.
