I'm actually especially looking forward to reading this chapter. For one thing, a lot of the plays that online grinders used to point and laugh at that Hellmuth made when short have become fairly standard. There was a time when it was considered weird to raise/fold at less than 20bb and now that opens have gotten smaller people raise/fold much shorter than that and it's completely standard.

It was also considered bad play to flat when defending the blinds at stack sizes less than 20bb, now people take the pot odds and flat frequently.

I've seen really good players adopt open limping in certain spots where it used to be considered fishy to avoid awkard SPRs postflop.

Actually think that being comfortable at short stack sizes deep in mtts and not giving up is one of the main reasons Hellmuth has 18M in cashes and we don't. He was probably ahead of his time with short stack play much like Negreanu was with bet sizing.

No, it means I do not type perfectly and your forum does not allow editing after some small amount of time. There will be a book launch of some type on 6/13 at the WSOP. Everyone is welcome to bring their own food if they are hungry.

Just wondering what you thought of the QQ hellmuth hand that was posted on the thread Jonathan? Is there logic behind his fold?

He obviously thought his opponent, who had raised 2 times all day, had exactly AA or KK. That video was also from a looooooong time ago. Believe it or not, but people improve over time.

So anyone see the book yet? Amazon says it will be released on July 7th.

Jonathan, will you make a Kindle or Mobi format available on your site? I would like to purchase it sooner if it is possible.

I have been told by my publisher that it should be on Amazon fairly soon, likely before Amazon say they will have it as it has already shipped from the distributer. The ebook version will be available on the publisher's site soon as well.

In my opinion, the physical book looks and feels amazing. I couldn't be happier with it. There is some video with it in my most recent blog post on my personal site.

Read through most of the preview on the kindle last night, and will most likely order in the next day or so.
