Wonder if Gus Is going to reveal every hand that made him lose 18 million dollars maybe his was just a lucky degen who tilts his chips away and makes crazy plays out of no where and when they work if someone asks him about it he just rationalizes the play to make it seem good bit really he was just on a degen heater.

Losing eighteen million and having many many millions aren't mutually exclusive.

It's funny that someone needed to say this.

He is so aggressive and so much synchronized that very very few players can play HU if only they happen to have good cards at the moment of confrontation. Else, Gus takes the money. It's like watching magic.

Yea he lost 18 mill for sure I'm also positive that all of his buddy's will probably keep throwing him cash if he ever needs it plus I'm sure he still has income from other sources still coming in that's outside of poker

His strategies are very useful if you find yourself playing with OMC's and scared money grinders in some midstake tournaments! If you can play like Gus vs. those guys and then play like Chainsaw vs. maniacs - you will do very well!

Very funny some people really find some strange pleasure to level Gus when they don't even know how to spell POKER (I'm not talking about you, just general conversations I've heard some sick stories and some sick hands/situation how Gus played ... etc)
Yea he did indeed lose 18 million dollars in the last few years playing online against the top sharks.

I guess you haven't been around long enough to have a clue as to what HSDB is.

The book is a fun read! Not a strategy book though!... (not even accounting for the age of the book) More a lesson on what needs to happen to win!

While reading this book, you realise that Gus was on his A-Game almost all tournament long, very aware of what was happening. And you also realise that a lot of things turned in his favor!
Basically, it's a "demonstration" of what needs to happen to win a tournament.
It's the same for me and any other MTT player imo, you need to play every hand the best you can, because one misplayed hand and you may have killed all your chances to win. And you also need to be lucky in many different ways! Only difference is that despite what can be said about Gus and his skills, he's playing at a much higher level than myself...
It's all about the little things!

You assume that HSDB is accurate. A foolish assumption to make.

I can't believe this thread is still alive.
