I just want to know if anyone else have been missing delivery when they purchase books from Dusty Schmidt ?

I have ordered 3 books from his website back in December 2011 - and sure enough they have taken the $ from my VISA ..
But even though I have made several contacts to the website - including the support and other mail accounts found on the website - I still miss any kind of response (and books).

Have anyone else been cheated by Dusty Schmidt ??

Just want to know if I am the only one - or others have been cheated as well.

i dunno anything about dusty's ebooks, but i believe that calling your creditcard company is the standard response here

How long did you wait for response? Did you try to contact him directly?
I'm sure that Dusty would not cheat you for 3 books ~100$ and ruin his reputation.

On the other hand when his 1st book was out "Threat your poker like a business" I ordered it and I didn't got it for over a month, so I emailed them and they told me that book was sent and it's probably some post error. So they told me to wait for few days and they have gave me gratis ebook and they have sent me new one.

I can promise this is not intentional, and is is best the email the company, or him directly, to resolve this

Thanks for all the suggestions .... I just guess that they do not reply to my hotmail ...

I wrote them 2 weeks after the order were placed - and again 1 week after that....
Every time I wrote to but Info@ and support@ as well a third mail account on the website.
None of the accounts replied to my mails

And I do agree that it sounds strange that Dusty will not respond and have this type of bad PR ... but none the less that is the case.

But good to know that I most likely are the only one this bad experience.

I created a thread exactly like yours at the end of Feb 2011 when I ordered Dusty's two books. Professionalpoker deleted it, claiming that 2+2 wasn't a place where customer complaints should be handled.

I too ordered books from Imagine Media and waited ages before I received DLTPH. I emailed them to 3 different email addresses, rang them several times and left a message on their answering machine twice. I never got any reply. I have complained about their lack of customer support in my review of DLTPH. I strongly recommend people who want to buy their books to deal with reliable 3rd party companies instead like amazon or twoplustwostore. Forget about Dusty and his crappy publishing company.

Exasperated by their lack of responses, I was very close to report them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) but happened to receive the book just in time.

FYI, I ordered my books on Dec 24th 2010, received Treat your poker like your business about a month later and DLTPH in early March 2011. For their defence, the paperback wasn't available when I ordered it. Yet I waited ages after it was released.

So my advice: be very patient or complain to the BBB. Time for Imagine Media to treat their customers appropriately.

I wanted to post about this too but i thought i would be laughed at,,,anywayz......
Happened to me also, ordered 2 books in December and i payed via PayPal. After a few weeks i started to write some e.mails to Imagine Media but i never got 1 reply.....
Waited friendly till half of January and tried to solve this with PayPal.
And they tried to contact Imagine Media also but i never heard of it either trought them.
PayPal examined my claim and re-imbursed me to monies.

I suggest that OP does/tries the same to get his money back....Very bad attitude from Imagine Media to never ever ever ever (AeJones) ever ever respond to 1 of my e.mails.

I have contacted my bank and asked them to redraw my payment. Hopefully they can solve it ....
Otherwise I can just learn not to trust Dusty as he works together with such cheaters ....

Difficult to believe that someone with Dusty's rep is going to intentionally cheat anybody.

But yeah, it certainly sounds as though he could take a few lessons in customer service.

In these days..you cant trust the internet.. lots of places cheat customers I always buy in the book depositary a site from uK.

That's what I wrote in one of my emails to him (22 Feb 2011):

"For someone who wrote a book about good business practices in poker, I am surprised to find out how sloppy the customer service is."

Hey guys, yeah i do to have to confirm this now,....

I ordered the book from his website 2 months ago now, payed with paypal, never got it.

1 month ago i sended an email to the info@dustyschmidt.com,..... no reply,.....
Then 2 weeks later again, etc,... etc,.....

Must be a great book btw, if he can not even treat his own business correct, right????

Am glad i found this forum, i payed 25$ + 15$ for shipping so am hoping to get it back somehow,... guess i will send an email to paypal, as best chance.

Anyway it stinks really bad, that such a big name, can not even get his books delivered to the people paying for it.

Am sure there a lot more people with this issue, as most of them probably are to lazy to even write about it and complain, like i mostly am,... but seeing that there a lot more here already on 2+2 well decided to write one to,... as hopefully less people will buy the book now, and don't get scammed.
