It came today, and I love it so far, a really fascinating read. Gives an insight into his start in Poker, and I'm just getting to the point where he started enjoying life a bit too much.

Good work, Mike.

This is a really awesome book, really awesome, I couldn't put it down. It came yesterday morning, and I'd finished it by this afternoon, I couldn't put it down. I'm not really an avid reader by any means, I enjoy autobiographies and enjoy Poker, so it was perfect, and it didn't fail to amaze me.

Everyone knows of his drug related problems and mental problems that have occurred because of it, and it was an amazing insight into his early life, through the good times, the bad times and the unlucky times, right through the whole drug dealing scandal and being ****ed over by the police.

The chapters were short, but they kept me gripped. I went to bed at about 11pm last night, and I was still reading it at 4am, "just another chapter, just another chapter, okay one more, one more." I finished it off this afternoon and I'd really recommend the book to everyone, BUY IT!

Great read.

So it isn't a poker strategy book? Just a autobiography?

Yes

Through the first two chapters, Mike and myself are very similar.

I lived near Sams Town for many years, and as most of you know, have played a tonS of video poker, sometimes with Mike close by.

Although I have never done major drugs, I've had some tremendous bouts with alcohol.....and women.....and tons of gambling stories.

Many have stated that I should write a book.........perhaps,......someday.

Barnes and Noble is far and away my favorite bookshop........so would definetly have a deal struck with them.

Today I read the first two chapters of Mikes book and Chris Fergusons "how to bet" section in the Full Tilt Poker tournament book...............enjoyed both tremendously.

Now it's off to the pokerroom for a little 2-5 nl.......followed by a 25,000 drawing this evening at the Hard Rock. My sports wagers have been put into place for tonights action, at hopefully what will be the best line ever presented.

I think I might have to go to a bookstore and read this because I've never really known any of the dirt on Mike. Apparently everyone here also exploits bookstores, so I will feel no shame.

Barnes and Noble doesn't stock vanity-press self-published books.

Say want you want about Mike Matusow, but the man is similar to the sinful voice in the back of every conditioned gambler's mind. Sometimes Mike might very well be one of the best, other times Mike might be closer to getting a cardboard sign and begging for change then we would all want to know. The man has seen his ups and downs but since he cleaned up his act ( post- WSOP 2008) at the end of the day he seems to have made something out of nothing.

I enjoy Mike, he is the Andy Kaufman of poker. I always told myself that whenever i run into a name-pro, I ( being naive) would ask for a autograph, but with Mike i wouldn't ask anything, I'd just listen to his stories, because you know for a fact then when you get cold-decked and some of the sickest beats, lose everything and have to walk back from the casino, you know that Mikey has been in the same spot, but managed to keep going, which is the definition of courage.

When i saw how much better as a player and person he was during the WSOP 2008, i was very impressed. Mike's win at the 2-7 draw was the only match that i stayed up to watch, since i knew that if Mike won its a sign to all gamblers world-wide, we are a sick breed, but that doesn't mean we cant get it done.

and close the Matusow Nut-hug.

Great book, can barely put it down, I just bought it yesterday around 2:00pm and I'm more than halfway through. Mike went through some crazy **** and I'm glad he's doing better. Would have been a tragedy if he ended up like Ungar.
