Re: BobboFitos book?
I can't see how it's $725 better than a Harrington or Sklansky book.

For a 200nl+ player the book is probably better value/$ but there's no reason not to have both......and probably a LeggoPoker subscription as well. |
Re: BobboFitos book?
Get a subscription to CR or DC. When at 100NL get LP. At 200NL get the other one DC or CR. Get a coach or Bobbo's book, or both (preferably). Then print money.

Re: BobboFitos book?
For those reading it, how does it compare to BillyJex's or Ryan Fee's Ebooks?

A Deuces Cracked subscription for about $300 year? 0r 2. The $750 book? To be priced at $750 this should be something awfully special. There is a lot of good poker material available for a lot less thats my point. It makes one wonder what's so special about this book. If in 1994 I had a opportunity to purchase Dan Harrington's first 2 tourney books I would have paid $750 bucks, if the book wouldn't be widely available until much later. This book should be that revolutionary at it current price with the excellent instruction available today. |

I read all of Harrington's tourney books and several Sklansky books. Even counting just 4 of these books I guess I payed like $120 for them. I don't se any way the $120 for those books is even at all close to worth what a book written in exceptional detail and constantly updated for free by an actual online high stakes winner who has a track record of coaching people into big mid and high stakes winners is worth. I keep going back and forth on buying this RIGHT now....damnit. |

I was playing poker tourney's in 1995 were you? Most players were nits or donkeys by todays standards. These books would have been pure gold back then. |
Re: BobboFitos book?
hes clearly not marketing a $750 book to small stakes players. so to people making the value argument, yes your points are valid, but irrelevant to the fact that his book contains very high level info that cannot be found anywhere else. its just simple supply/demand. if no one buys the book for 750, maybe he'll lower it.

pot odds, implied odds, outs, board texture, semi bluffing, probabilities on your opponents cards, position, and many other key subjects were ether; 1. written about and explain in far greater detail or 2. first written about in sklansky's books. david's sklansky's books provided a knowledge base that most poker books on the market, including the nl books and post here, are expanding on. that doesn't mean that there are not other terrific authors and books. and that certain subjects like nl play won't be taken to new levels. but most of what is written in 2+2 posts, and most of what we know about poker and poker theory was expressed in sklansky's books long before anyone else wrote about them (and i suspect before the arrogant and unaware poster was born). |
Re: BobboFitos book?
additionally, i think top is probably still the best or most important poker book ever written.

Re: BobboFitos book?
As usual good posts. Amulet and I agree.

Anyone who is unconscious of the contributions Dave has made to the game Amulet is in dire need of taking up some other interest. Daves contributions revolutionized poker. |
Re: BobboFitos book?
Considering the purchase, for those who've read it, how does it compare to BillyJex or Ryan Fee's online 6max book?
|
Re: BobboFitos book?
from what i know its much more advanced than fee's book, but i havent read billyjex's

Re: BobboFitos book?
Bobbofitos stopped offering his book for awhile (presumably to figure out anti-pirating concerns). Does anyone know if he's resumed sales on it?

seriously thinking about buying this book. mostly good reviews...but I guess people who didn't like it won't admit spending 750 on an e-book.
