Any views very welcome!

I feel I get lost in the middle stages of MTTs, slightly.

I'd like to read something that could help me out.

The most recent book by a known author is Jonathan Little's series, I believe.

Hi Doc:

This isn't correct. The most recent tournament book by a well known author(s) is Harrington on Modern Tournament Poker by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie which came out last year.

Best wishes,
Mason

There were a number of tournament books published last year: Jonathan Little´s "The Main Event"; "Flop,Turn River" by the authors of Kill Everyone; "Moorman´s Book of Poker" and the Harrington/Robertie book.
OP specifically mentions middle stages of MTT´S.bTherefore I would suggest he take a look at Vol.1 of Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time, which covers play up until the Bubble. Vol. 2 covers Bubble to Final Table.

No disrepect meant, but as I don't have it in my library I had forgotten about the book.

The next tournament book (as far as I'm aware) will be Alex fitzgeralds. Won't be due out until next year. I'm sure either of the above mentioned will get you going until then.

I would like to get both the new Harrington book along with Kill Everyone. Any recommendation on which to read first?

I would say Harrington first makes it easier: KE is an intermediate-level book.

Only heard it mention it once and not sure where, whether Twitter, a blog post or in his podcast, but judging by his chapter in Jonathan Little's 'Excelling at No-Limit Hold'em' and his other writings, this is going to be a must-have book.

Anyone know any books / chapters specifically for 6-max structured tourneys?

I have both and agree with the reply Harrington is a gentle read, kill everyone is deep in theory. Just don't leave kill everyone lying around in public places, people might get the wrong idea!

Harrington's books on tournament poker are still very good to start off. Just skip the parts where he says which hands you should play or not. The parts about odds, c-bet, inflection points are stellar.
Apart from these books, Kill Everyone and Raiser's Edge are indeed the most important books I've read so far. And, together with the inflection point explanations by Harrington, they probably address a lot of the problems you're having at this time, if you feel you're kind of stuck in the middle stages of tournaments (where stacks start being shallow).
Once you digest all that, you absolutely need to think in terms of ranges. Some books from Ed Miller help in that regard (how to read hands, or Poker's 1%), but in that subject matter, there may be better material!

@Scheier.....when you say that the Harrington books are good, are you referring to his original books or his latest on "Modern Tournament Poker"? And as far as skipping the part where he says which hands to play or not, are you talking about which hands he suggests to play in the middle stages of tournaments or just over all?

Hi Pocket 4's
Yes I'm sorry, I haven't been very clear. I am mainly referring to his original books as those are the ones that I have read thoroughly. I know that he has updated this kind of content in his "Modern Tournament Poker" book, but I would still be wary about some chapters. Nevertheless, no other author has made the concepts of odds, c-betting or "all-in or fold" so easily readable and instantly undestandable than Harrington has in my opinion.

If you haven't read either his original series nor his updated book....which would you recommend to someone starting out in MTT's?

Alex Fitzgerald is writing a MTT book which hopefully will be out by summer 2016! Can't wait for it😄
