About a third of the was through 'the theory of games and economic behaviour'. It's ok, a bit heavy for me though.
Wondering of the best poker specified game theory books.

Jandas book does not have anything to do with "GTO".

I would suggest Tiptons books or mathematics of poker.

If you want to learn about "balance" as in mixing up your ranges to not very easily be exploited, Jandas book is very good. But it doesn't have much to do with game theory.

The theory of Poker, also nobody incited the phrase 'purely mathematical book' I would consider a book with the majority of its subject matter mathematical based to fall into the equation of what OP has asked

Theory of poker is a very good book but could not be classified as a "math book" or a "game theory for poker" book.

If you want to understand how GT relates to poker in a fun and non-confusing way i would suggest "The intelligent poker player" by Newall. It is mainly about limit poker, but it is still a very good book and it explains "gto" very well.

Why do you say the book isn't about theory? The books description is literally "Applications of No-Limit Hold em teaches theoretical sound poker".

I'm reading Janda too. I couldn't find any other newer books that are said to be good GTO books. Anyone know of any?
