I am new to PLO and quite frankly I have no clue what I am doing preflop and postflop I have no idea what proper calling off ranges are. Please recommend me a book!

Jeff Hwang's "PLO Poker" would be a good start.

Is the 2p2 PLO book also good for beginners ?

jeff hwang intro book is fantastic........

twoplustwo plo is also excellent....... i think the one drawback often cited is it has alot of shorter stack advice. i would say in some defense that you might want to pay shorter stock to start in PLO anyway..............

and the 2P2 book has all the plo basics you need for much deeper stack games - basically draws to the nuts are paramount. big risk is hittng something like a K or Q-high flush and losing 300BBs to a larger flush..... similar thought process for wanting to hit sets off the flop......... and of course you want your pre-flop hands to have many different potential flopped made hands and/or strong draws.
