Re: Any reviews for Crushing the Microstakes?

I purchased this out of curiosity (I don't play the micros) and I have to say it's very good. Best of all there are more than a few laugh out loud moments in here. The author is a legitimately funny guy and some of his descriptions/observations cracked me up.

Moneybookers (Skrill) is also an option. If you don't have that either please send me an email at blackrain79@dragthebar.com and I will see what I can do.

Haha, wasn't really going for the comedy angle with the book but glad I could oblige! Poker really is just pure madness at times when you think about it, especially at the micros. It's good to just laugh at it sometimes.

Just bought your ebook. It's the first purchase I've ever made using a credit card haha!

....and the bad news is I can't open the downloaded file... thoughts? I was hoping it would just be a pdf file or something similar.

It used to be just a PDF file. I recently added epub and mobi versions as well for people with Kindles, Ipads or other e-readers. Instead of having three seperate downloads I pack all of these files into a single rar file. To open a rar file you need a program called Winrar which can be downloaded here,

http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

If you would like me to send you just the PDF please either pm me here on 2+2 with your email or send me an email at blackrain79@dragthebar.com

Re: Any reviews for Crushing the Microstakes?

I bought the book for about two months ago, it is impressive I went from a break even player to a huge winner in the micros, of course I put a lot in there, i have made a lot of reviews of the material, like I have a 3 pages side notes for the most comum situations and 6 excel tables.
For the book, it is very well writen, is clear, right to the point and very funny. The best thing in my opinion is that the book was written by a guy who actually really played those games, and as a huge winner. You have everything u really need in this book, but I would also suggest reading the author posts in his blog and all the stuff in his forum.

Re: Any reviews for Crushing the Microstakes?

Bought this Sunday night (well Monday after midnight to be precise)... and I have to say it seems like a great book but I am having trouble applying some of the concepts successfully... maybe it's just the site I'm on and the fact I do not have a HUD to go off.

I was doing better playing more ABC so I am going back to my old style and going to try and slowly work concepts in to my game from this book.

I don't own an Ipad but I would imagine so? In any case I sent you all three copies of the book via email as per your request.

I will have to defer this question also to somebody who owns a Kindle and has tried this. I have just seen how the book looks on a Kindle when I was working with the programmer who converted it. I haven't tried any custom features with it.

PDF can be viewed on a Kindle pretty well. It does not have all the advanced features of IBook but works pretty good. You can highlight for example.

You can transfer .mobi & ePub eBook Files to an iPad for viewing.
The quickest way to do this is through email, but before getting started make sure you have the free Kindle app installed on the iPad to read and open mobi files. Attach the MOBI or ePub files to a new mail message and email them to the iPad. Open the mail message from the iPad and tap and hold the attached mobi or epub file until a an “Open in …” window appears, then tap the appropriate choice. The ebook will then open in either iBooks or Kindle app, depending on the file type.

Re: Any reviews for Crushing the Microstakes?

Just finished the book. Decent read. Kind of geared toward beginners I think. I think over the past 6 months or so I started playing a bit to laggy and a bit of fancy play syndrome leading to massive swings and tilt. This book has kind of made me refocus my play. I would recommend it.
