My constraint is not the cost of a book, but I can only concentrate on one book at a time (different authors have different teaching styles which 'scramble' my brain with too many viewpoints, and I learn nothing).

The Grinders Manual by Clark, and while expensive, it is pretty good. Also, I suspect that some of the Miller books you've read are not 2+2 books.
I also suspect that the best book for you will be the new Janda book we're currently working on. We hope to have it in two to three months.
