Re: Zoom Poker thread

Just played 1 table of 2NL full ring for half an hour. 200 hands. Lost $1.50.

Didn't really enjoy it, but maybe that's because I just couldn't get a hand, none of my steals worked and I only got one walk.

I think I'm better off when I have notes and stats on villains, but normal tables are gonna feel horribly slow now.

Most supernovas are probably trying it out and normally play higher, where stacking off with QQ and AQ is standard.
Also a lot of supernovas are unbelievably bad in my experience.

Re: Zoom Poker thread

Is anyone elses zoom lagging quite often? I had a 600 BB stack only seen one bigger stack of 670 BB so far. Pretty easy so far, just bet alot for value. You have to realise people are nittier than normal. ALOT nittier. Try not to play to much OOP. I dont think there's a single thing to playing zoom profitably, just try and play good solid poker and i am stealing a TON from the CO and BTN.

Agreed there is a few at 25nl that just love to double barrel without any thought behind it at all and spew massively. Im now taking shots at 50nl and they are better, but obvs in general supernovas are just multi-tabling nits accumulating tons of points. There is one supernova at 16nl who gives me big headaches though.

Re: Zoom Poker thread

players seem to have a pretty tight calling range judging by the couple hundred hands ive played so far, i wonder if a lag strategy might be profitable, open raising almost any 2 and c betting regardless of flop, and obviously giving up to 3 bets and re-raises easily

Re: Zoom Poker thread

wow,

just lost a 1100 bb pot to a 3 outer when the money went in on the flop .

Who thought you would actually have to tilt-sit-out at 2 NL.

In other news, I have seen somebody with 1100 bbs Had I won I would have had 1400 bb.

Re: Zoom Poker thread

If you are involved in a hand and fold before showdown do you get the handhistory? I haven't tried it yet.
Is Hem1 working on Zoom tables?

That's something I never thought I'd see in this forum. 1100bb! I don't think I could cope with a beat like that. Jeez, man. That sucks.

The HUD doesn't work but you can import the hands at the end of the session IF you download today's update for HM1. (It's version 1.12.10 and isn't even directly listed on the HM website, but it's up there somewhere. I'll find the link and post it in a minute).
I believe Pokertracker users have a fully operational HUD, which offers them a significant advantage right now.

Re: Zoom Poker thread

I played a few tables of PLO just to see how it looked. I won a bit and decided to quit after 30 hands as i'm not in the mood for giving Stars my action. Not sure if it was any easier/harder than normal tables as at those stakes I generally find it fairly simple. Stars going to make a killing on the rake, I like how you can angleshoot Stars and get free hands.

Re: Zoom Poker thread

HM1 Upgrade (No HUD, but hands are imported into your database): http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa..._13Mar2011.exe
(Some users have found this version crashes in Windows 7. It worked fine on my old Win XP machine, but took blimmin ages to install. If it crashes you can revert to the previous version of HM1 at http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe or from http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/d...ds-manuals.php)
FWIW, I think this is another own goal for the makers of HM, as the Pokertracker guys have beaten them again.

That's certainly not the case with the Mac version. The latest update auto imports hand histories but there is no HUD.

Edit: see Arty's post above. I've posted on the PT3 forums to find out about the Mac version.
