Generalistic questions get generalistic answers that usually aren't very useful. Post specific hands with reads In a strat forum ... Where you'll probably be chastised for trying make hero folds.

You don't. Except in some tourney situations.
You need to learn to give up overpairs vs strength on certain boards. That said, overpair vs overpair is as tricky as set over set sometimes.
Don't worry about those situations. They are rare, and you will lose too much money being scared of monsters under the bed if you give them too much weight.
If it happens, tough.

Re: Zoom Poker thread
I don't even care about set over set, 95% of the time I played it correctly to get the money in. It's actually quite a useful insight to see how your opponent plays when they flop a monster, so much slowplaying it's not funny.
Overpairs vs overpairs...this is very situational, post hands.

@ShotGlass - in poker you need to learn how to lose sometimes. It's a big part of the game.

If you're getting beaten often by better kickers then you need to adjust your pf opening range

Not getting beaten by kickers, it's AA vs KK, and TTT vs QQQ type situations.

Sometimes the long shots come in. What is it exactly that you don't understand about probability?

Meh, i don't think i'll ever learn to be indifferent about losing. imo it's how one responds to losing that's the important thing
ShotGlass - posting bad beats on 2+2 is not the most productive way to respond.
Instead try posting hands you think you might have played badly instead of the beats, study more, concentrate more when you're playing etc.....

Good point. The thing is - in poker you will lose sometimes, actually often, even if you play perfectly. What matters is that you made the best decision based on the information you have at the time, that you gain as much information as you can, and that you put your opponent to the most difficult decisions. It's about knowing that when you lose, most often you would have won.
ShotGlass is too results-oriented imo and needs to get over that attitude - from his posts in this thread and others.
I'm sure he'll thank me later.

Shotglass, I'm going to be blunt so the message is crystal.
No one cares that you lost a pot or many pots but when ALL you do is cry like a girl, refuse to acknowledge feelback that u don't like, show an inability to take advice on board and continue with posting bad beats ..... Well what happens is that you start to wear out your welcome. Beginners is usually a very tolerant place (if you don't believe me then u should post in bbv and see what happens) so when you get a rep here for being a bad poster It's not the forum It's you.
Basically if you want to earn some respect here you need to show you are willing to listen and learn. Do this and you might even get good enough at poker so that you don't lose
You have the ball, where u choose to go from here is up to you....

Re: Zoom Poker thread
Could anybody elaborate how to play against UTG limp-callers at microstakes? I know it's considered as bad play, but I see that move really often when playing Zoom and have no idea how to counter it.
