So I was just starting to grind 10NL full ring ZOOM, and accidentally opended a 50NL HU game.. I was instantly reaching for the sit out button and was dealt AKos..

So the check raise on the river is either nuts or air, and i snap and be happy about it???

I'd bet about 5 bb on the turn.

don't bet flop, if you do, FOR SURE don't bet turn, as played river is probably bet/call readless, just don't expect to be good here too often

I feel like you played this hand fine. Don't have to bet flop, but it's ok. Turn check is good. River bet/call is also fine.

cool... i like playing HU, but because my ranges are tight playing FR its mad when i have near the top of my range and villians are raising me on the river... Also playing with 5 buy ins for my level is pretty intimidating although i used to play 100nl pre BF but still getting raised a buy in otr felt a bit sick..

it was already established that barreling turn (esp with that sizing) would be a big mistake

umm, he was bluffing? Since cbetting AK is very bad here, this is actually decent river to x/r bluff in a vacuum.

I don't see how betting the best possible draw is ever going to be a big mistake.

you have a bluffcatcher, as a rule of thumb you want to use your bluffcatchers to, you know, catch bluffs, not as a bluffs. And using them as a bluff on a turn card that changes the board drastically in favour of your opponent is, indeed, a huge mistake.

I agree with the bold to the point that our hand isn't a good bluffcatcher anymore on most rivers, thus the bluff value goes up.

I also think it's important to have a mix of flushdraws here, that should be heavy in Ace high flushdraws, but also with lower flushdraws at lower frequencies.
