I am new, and for now, i only registered because of the following question:

I am interested in which deck of cards is being used for the WSOP, and where i can buy such a deck. (I am not talking about the brand, i am talking about the exact type of decks used in the WSOP, so also with the WSOP brand/trademarks on it)

I am talking about a new deck, and i am talking about the deck used last WSOP, so 2014.
(although if someone knows where USED decks during last WSOP are for sale, i'd welcome such a response as well)

Its not really a 'beginners question', but i couldnt find a more fitting place to ask this.

(if someone would provide a website, please regard that i live in Europe(some US sites dont deliver to EU))

I really don't know. But I don't see how you can get both "a new deck" and "the deck used last WSOP" at the same time.

A new deck of the same cards used at the 2014 WSOP....

I'd be surprised if you can get the exact same cards. If you could it seems like some very sticky situations could and probably would have arisen from people cheating.

I bought some wsop cards from 2011 off eBay a few years ago, don't think they change the cards too much but eBay is prob your best bet.

I don't think they are exactly the same as the ones used in the latest world series (they aren't dated) but you can find them on Amazon. Just search for Bicycle WSOP cards.

Copag makes the cards for these branded tournament series. Note at the bottom states that these cards are not for sale. Typically, these cards are not for sale to avoid them getting mixed in to these branded events (given you have them in your backpack while attending) and only post tourney/used ones would be for sale. Used ones normally will have a corner shaved off to mark the deck.

So you will need to Amazon or E-Bay available used decks or maybe the Rio Gift Shop might sell them. But the chances of coming across a new deck of the official cards would be nearly impossible. Bicycle has wsop cards but the logo is different and the card itself is a different material.

They are pretty much the same as the ones I have but from 2013. Thats the best you will get for now.

My understanding is that they no longer sell used OR new decks that are the same as at the WSOP. They're worried about someone marking cards and slipping them into the game.

They're pretty terrible looking cards anyway. Just a plain white back with a logo. They had lots of problems with fouled decks because of two identical decks at every table.
