I've come back from a 2 year break from poker and I'm really struggling to find any winning players stats to compare with mine.

It seems that Mpethy had started a quality post which showed some examples of winning players (Charger and Baja) stats for 9 max by position.

Unfortunately the thread for 6 max doesn't include similar examples and I'm really struggling to find examples like this elsewhere.

I appreciate that trying to copy other players stats isn't a magic potion but I did want to look at them and compare them against mine to see if it might help me find any leaks.

Does anybody know where I can find examples like this or want to volunteer their stats for me to check?

There aren't many players willing to share that information with unknowns. And even if they did, it would only apply to the level of play they achieved them. Finally, winning players can often play looser than the average player because they have the skill to play marginal hands profitably that less skilled players would lose money.

In conclusion, such information at best is useless and at worst counter productive to your desire to improve.

For example, flop cbet % is one of the most debatable stats in game.

Someone might say: high cbet is good! You're a fish if you have low cbet.
Someone else thinks the opposite. He thinks low cb is good, and that players with high cbet are fish
It's all about understanding the reasoning behind the stat and adapting to our environment. In one environment 70% cbet flop is the nuts. In other environments it may not be.

Practice your game and look at your own stats. I would say slight more aggresvoe play in 6max. And maybe a littlw more blind defending

You're missing the entire point here regarding stats. You DO NOT NEED TO FOCUS ON YOUR STATS! What matters is situations.... not stats.

For example, you might fold the turn too much if you look at statistics but if you regularly play against timid passive players (who rarely bet the turn but love to cbet the flop) then a stat someone says on the forum is going to be meaningless.

The only thing stats are good for is boosting your ego on the poker forums. Just focus on decision making instead!

Another example of this is players often say your W$SD should be around 50-60%. Well, if yours is 58% that may look impressive but that doesn't tell you how much value you managed to get from your opponents when ahead!

I remember reviewing some stats on 888 around a year ago, I had played 20'000 hands at the time and had a W$SD of 42%... The stats idiots on this forum would say that was rubbish but I had doubled my deposit at 6nl playing this way. The reason why the stat was so low was I had a lot of calling stations who didnt bet the turn or river, so I lost a lot of small pots checking it down but I won 1/2 stacks when I knew I was ahead.

Conclusion= stats only tell part of the story and not the full thing. For that reason it is best ignoring them for the most part and focusing on Hand Histories.
