Re: Why you suck at uNL Part Two: Bankroll Management

Nice bump!

Your bankroll is your bankroll. If you stick to strict management, which it looks like you do, there is no reason to split it up.

Thanks or the quick reply. Surely if I go on a heater in the sng's and a downswing in the cash or something similar I should keep them separate tho? I could potentially move up in the sng's due to those winnings but need to drop down in the cash, is that more advisable than using the sng winnings to keep at my current cash stakes?

FYI I'm not really a beginner but I figured this thread was probs the best place for this question.

Just keep track of what you win at a level with hem/pt3. If you ship $1500 in a tournament.. and you were playing 25nl, but were losing over 8000 hands.. don't move up. If you ship 1500, and were winning at 4bb/100 over 22,000 hands, then go ahead and take a shot at 50nl.

So do you mean as separate rolls? But kind of padding my one roll with winnings from another, and if I'm beating the current stakes and using it to move up?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Why you suck at uNL Part Two: Bankroll Management

dont sit $5 deep at 2NL, playing super deep stacked isnt going to help you improve your game as much as playing 5NL or 10NL even if it will make you more money in the long term. otherwise, good post.

He did post this before I deposited. I just wish I'd read it.

$500 is a bankroll right in between 10NL and 25NL.

I would start at 10NL, and move up to 25NL when I have $550, move back down to 10NL when I dop below $500.

Re: Why you suck at uNL Part Two: Bankroll Management

I started out on 1.10 45 man sngs on FTP. Only started w/ 27 bucks lol, but I ran well and now have a strict 200-300 BI rule for mttsngs. I was still grinding the 1.10s w/ 400 lol b/c I didn't have enough for the 3.30 KOs yet.

This was over a year ago (playing PT), and Im now playing 6.50/12 KOs on FTP, using the same super nitty BR mgmt. Less 12s b/c I don't quite have 2600 in my BR yet, but ill get there.

Don't know about cash, but this is how I started playing mttsngs.

Re: Why you suck at uNL Part Two: Bankroll Management

great thread. New to the forum, and thanks to all the guys/gals posting up all the info.

I know about bankroll, but what is everyone's take on Bankroll for multi table'ing. Either the cash games or Sitngo's?
Should your 40X the buy be mutiplied by the number of tables you want to play?

Thanks.

No. Playing more tables averages out your variance. Provided you still have a decent winrate when you multi-table, and you don't get tilted if you suffer multiple bad beats in quick succession, your roll will be safe.
If you are a winning player, multi-tabling just increases the amount of your winnings, as you're playing more total hands. If you are a losing player, you'd obviously go busto more quickly.
