Simply don't do it. The risk is tiny but it is certainly there.
Oh noes... For BHUNLA I transfered money to the bat from space who hangs around the greens' super secret collusion (and pron) forums all day. My account will be locked fo shoar!!
As for why pokerstars, I was asking myself the same question when I first started out. Over at IPN I kept stacking the fishiest players in the world while here at the forums I read about how most people are struggling with nitty regs at ps. It just didn't make sense to me why someone would want to hang around in those nitty games.
Then I tried some zoom. First of all it turned out there's a lot of fish at the micros at ps as well. Somehow by reading the forums I had got the impression that it's mostly solid regs, but that's probably because those people put you in the most tough spots and therefore a lot of hands posted are vs solid regs. And also, most of the regs at the lowest stakes are horrible. My winrate at ps hasn't been even close to my winrate at IPN, but the volume makes up for that difference. At ps I can also play any time I like while the traffic at IPN was very low and I sometimes even logged on just to find out no games were running at my stake.
The most important reason why I now want to continue at stars is that the games are a lot harder than at IPN and they just keep getting tougher when I move up. This forces me to improve my game, which of course is my ultimate goal. Over the past month at stars I've really improved a lot and I want to keep doing exactly that.
