I play at Party.
Mostly because I found it first.
Also, I can't win at Stars. Too many maniac fish.
I haven't figured out how to beat them yet.
When I fold to their shoves they have middle pair no kicker.
When I call they have a set or straight.
I will go back there one day.
Party software is okay apart from the glitches sometimes.

Nope, the most important thing that matters in the end is a truely random card generator. And unluckily for us, no such site owns one. So whether you choose stars, pkr, 888 or anywhere else, its never poker online. Its online poker.
And there lies the difference

Sorry for the strange question, just so curious about this and what I might be missing haha.
It's a question I was actually wondering about today as I'm also a newb

Stars is the only site I've played on in the last few months (2NLHE 6max) partly for reasons people have already mentioned including yourself.

From my perspective, probably the most important reason was precisely because the players are so good: I'm not looking to make (loads of) money right now as I'm currently more interested in improving my game because my skill level is so lousy lol

I play on Stars now, but once Party releases their fast moving poker I will have to consider leaving Stars. It all depends how well they made the software on Party, and what the traffic is like.

The VIP program on Party is better for most players, except those on Stars who reach SNE or come very close to it. Party also has way better promos.

Also if ipoker came out with fast poker I would play there without thinking twice.

Re: Why pokerstars?

Can you turn off the overlay ads at stars?
I don't play there much, but the constant ads that hide half the table really tilt me.
(The ones telling you about upcoming tournaments).

Yes, of course. It's somewhere under View, I believe.

Re: Why pokerstars?

Zoom/rush is so aids, but Stars is the best site, for all the reasons already mentioned.
I am thinking about trying 888.

I'm guessing not, since I have no idea who/what that is, but you never know!

Haha, no. Far from it, but I am digging his Jimmy Savile t shirt.
