I have not played on either in a while as I moved to everleaf and now they have my roll (either them or homeland security, I am not sure what story I believe)

But, I can tell you that when I left merge that the cash games were pretty tough, bunch of old ftp and stars grinders. However, the MTTs were straight up baby thighs. I won like 13k off them in a month. I wish I had stuck with Lock.

Never played on Bodog, so can't comment.

keep in mind bodog (or bovada) is max 4 tabling, and anonomous tables there.

While merge has 10000000 different offers from different skins, be sure to find the right one for you if you do go there.

about 4-6 standard tag regs, 2-3 regs who are weird or weaker players (the 25/10 aggro or passive sort) / 1 fish i wuold say at each table. approx @ nl50, I played like 10k hands a week ago at nl10 and those games were pretty fishy with only 2-3 regs on them, of course keep in mind thats just my opinino

Merge. No question. Table restrictions, randomization of all players- you get a number that changes with each table or tournament- and no notes make Bovado a crappy site. Merge is a lot busier also.

If we are strictly talking about fish, bovada/bodog ainec.

If we are talking about playability, merge hands down.

Do you want to make easy money with tilting software, or easily play with a tough player pool?

I downloaded bovada the other day just to obs some tables and see whats going on. Avg vpip indicates about 30% all the way up to 5/10. This is pretty high, and seems fishy. I think grinders will stay on sites like merge because they expect to stay +EV by just putting in more volume. Fish love bovada because they arent being targeted. There arent even waiting lists for full tables so you cant bumhunt.

If I were a competent but part-time recreational player, I'd play on bovada to exploit the fish. If I routinely play 12+ tables, I'd stay on a site with more volume and just deal with the regs.

Download the software and create a fake account. Takes about 30 seconds. No verification required. Usually one game running at 5/10, maybe 5 tables of 2/4, and 10 or so at 1/2. The rest is just NL50 and below. Looking right now I see several 2/4 and 1/2 tables of 9max with 40-60% avg vpip.

im thinkin about switching to merge from bovada cuz i cant play more than 2 anonymous tables and keep track of everything, but everyone says merge is regg'ed up whats the real deal, regs cant be that great at 50nl right?

I've only played on Merge and Bodog, started on Bodog and I liked it better. Then they switched to Bovada and now it's really gay. There was definitely more fish on Bodog than Merge, though there are some pretty fishy people on Merge. I don't like Merge's software but I like it better than that Bovada ****. I play on Merge strictly now and it's not too bad. There's just not many options and Merge seems to be the best, sadly.

PS: Haven't made any cashouts on Merge but on Bodog they were easy and fairly quick, around 3 weeks maybe?

Depends what you're looking to play. But IMO Merge is the better way to go based on aesthetic and numbers online. Good luck!

How is merge for sngs, mtts, and mtsngs? I'm assuming the 4-table max at bovada would render them unplayable in terms of $/hr, unless the players on Bovada are so bad vs Merge that it would make up for not being able to 12 table...

IIRC, they upped the limit on mtts on bovada to 18-20 (If you can get that many running) They play is super soft on bovada due to all the crossover players from the sportsbook.

Merge sngs dont run very often except hypers which are reg infested. Merge mtts are fairly soft, but the payout structure still needs work in alot of them.
