What game to pick up after Hold'Em?

Right now I'm winning the micros at NLH, currently I'm learning the differences between NLH and LHE, hoping to become good at both. After that though, I'm not sure where to go with my poker game. I'm very interested in 7 stud, although I'm thinking maybe PLO would be a better choice? My goal is eventually to be able to play a good HORSE game, in what order would you recommend learning the games in HORSE, basically?

PLO isn't one of the games in HORSE !

For the stud games, learn razz, stud hi, stud 8 imo

Re: What game to pick up after Hold'Em?

lol it's just the ASB didn't mention it so I thought I should, but yeah.

Since you're playing micros, obv most of your volume goes to online play. That being the case, in terms of profitability, PLO is the best game to learn after holdem.

Before playing HORSE, obviously you have to learn all the games pretty well. And you want to learn games that have the most action...ie you don't wanna start learning Stud8 strictly to be a HORSE specialist when you can't find that many Stud8 tables to begin with. That being the case...I recommend learning the games in this order:

Hold em
Stud
O8
Stud 8
Razz

Basically, arrange the games in terms of action you see on your site, and learn them in that order. My experience in casinos suggests the order I made above.

Re: What game to pick up after Hold'Em?

I have been spending as much time playing Stud/8 as hold'em. I have hardly been playing omaha since I discovered S/8 a few months ago.

if you want to learn a new game them be ahead of the curve and learn 2-7 triple draw. I know that isnt in H.O.R.S.E so learn stud, better players than me say stud makes you a better all round player.

OK, so you say you have NL down. I would suggest O8 next as the other 3 have similarities. As for which order of those 3, post 10 here should help. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/32...posts-1199554/
