Playing on a cruise? Playing on a cruise?

Hello all,
For this year's spring break, my friends and I planned a cruise. I have since found out that there's a casino on board that has poker. Is there anything I should know before playing? What's different than at a normal casino? I'll basically take any advice or thoughts you're willing to share. Thanks in advance.

i played 2/5 on mine where people bought in for 100-200 so id say be the 1st one there and set a precedent with a full 100 BBs because people will be ultra fish (most likely) but not willing to blow 2 BIs(but very willing to not leave until there 1st ones gone) so get as much money out there as you can

I was on a cruise this year with about 5 really good poker players. That showed me I was no where near as good as I though. I lost like 600 in seven days and it was worth every penny. I learned a lot on that cruise. Most importantly how much I didn't know. There were plenty of fish though. I would have been down about 1500 if it wasn't for the random player dropping 100 in 20 min with middle pair.

It would be cool to be a cruise ship poker pro with all the fish, but the rake (cruise expense) kinda makes it impractical

BTW, haven't played a cruise before, but I've talked to lots of good players at my regular casinos and they made it sound like an endless supply of fish serving themselves up. Don't be worried about the good players at the table. Just figure out who they are and don't mess with them. Raise to ISO the donks.
