What are the differences between OMCs and TAGs?

What separates the OMC style from the TAG, and what makes the latter feared and the former derided?
Is it the degree of tightness? or the degree of aggression?
Or is TAG just OMC with better, more balanced play?

In live play, an OMC is missing the "AG" part, except when they have monster hands, in which case they sometimes c/c so as not to lose anybody but more often ludicrously overbet and then complain that they couldn't get any action.
TAGs, on hte r other hand, are usually aggressive with their entire continuing range.

1) OMC will trap more often with over-pair or set from EP ... TAG will keep pedal on gas for value and to prevent suck-outs. (Although OMC do their fair share of suck-out avoidance!)
2) OMC will over-value hands (TPTK) when they do bet out. Bet sizing is on the larger side .. and usually a street too late to prevent the hand from escalating.
3) In general, TAGs can have much larger ranges .. and just play aggressively when they do hit the board.
OMC much closer to Nit than a TAG is ... GL
