I just got back into poker after going back to school and getting a BA in sociology and I was really running pretty good the first few weeks but now I am running so bad I'm about to just give it up. I am a winning player you can look at my stats on sharkscope zooeyglass on WPN. I am working a ****ty full time job but really wanted to build a decent enough roll to move to NJ to play on pokerstars and to be closer to better live games. I also have been playing live at Turning Stone and other smaller casinos in NY and PA and just like WPN I was running good at first playing 1-2NL and 2-4 limit and now I can't catch a break. First hand last session I have KQ raise to 9 get a couple callers I end up with top two and of course dude betting had flopped trip 4s. You would think I am the biggest nit not raising the 15 dollar river bet but I'm so use to beats like that I just figured I was beat and I was. Suck out after suck out online and the games are **** the 3 hours of late registration i WPN tournaments make them the biggest waste of time. Play 7 hours to place like 14th and barely double the buyin. I've looked into staking and coaching but all I got was some scam offer of some douche who wanted me to pay him to set me up on 888 granted I would have had no way to cash out and the "stakers" would be in control of the account.

So you raised and got triple-barrel Donked into on a 44KQx board? You said 'trips', not a set so ... ?? You're never raising this River as described anyway even if it was a set and not trips unless you plan on shoving into a River 3-bet/shove.

No that's not how the hand played out. It's just an example of how crappy I have been running. It was just a min raised pot in 1-3NL, first hand of session so I don't think anyone wanted to play a big pot flop came K4x, older guy bets ten and I call, turn is a Q he bets ten again and I call, the river is another blank he bets 15 I call with top two he shows set 4s.

Well one question I do have is about pokerstars NJ. Is there HORSE SnGs that actually run and other mix games at low to mid stakes? Does 888 NJ have anything other than NL and PLO. I am use to the hay day playing on stars, fulltilt, UB where any game would go. I loved the 3 table HOrSE SnGs.
