I can only afford and have the time to play 1-2 live mtts a week. what can i do to improve my game? Could i watch live MTT's? watch online MTTs? play with equity caculators? read books. join a video training site.

If youre not playing to win money then you shouldnt be playing at all...
The point of the game is to take ALL the chips. Without chips/money, the game wouldnt exist.
Id suggest reading some of the 2+2 publishing and other than that, you cant beat actual experience..
There are some decent training sites out there, Ive never used them because I dont want to pay for something that I can learn for free elsewhere. Its seems the training is loosley based off of math and then its just all opinions.
Doug Polk has decent videos where he breaks down hands nicely if you want to watch a 20 minute video to see a river card.
