Need some input on a hand, this is a 1-2 live game. I'm sitting on button with roughly a 350bb stack.A few limpers and I find AKo , i raise to 12 and SB calls with an over 500bb stack, as well as the CO who has roughly 50bb.

Flop comes K96 with 2 clubs. Checks to me and I bet 20$. SB calls and then the CO shoves his remaining stack which is roughly 85$.

CO is a right reg who doesn't play too many or too few of hands seems like a solid player. SB is an unknown to me and has been playing many hands this session and got lots of lucky hands thus the large stack. I put him on a much wider range. As he showed me he hole cards often when I was not in a hand so I know he was playing garbage quite a bit.

What would you do?

Reraise to 80bb, push the SB out of there and isolate the CO.

I'd probably raise to iso and evaluate SB's decision.

Interesting spot ...

1) In an ABC world you 3-bet to isolate and hope it's not a set or 78s flip.

2) In my world I normally like to start a side pot in case I'm crushed in the main ... See #1 at 80bb as suggested

3) In some of my world with a Super Nit involved and not knowing what's going on in the SB I might announce a fold (here comes the ripping) and gladly show my 'wtf' fold to the Nit/table if the SB folds quickly as well. I would probably only do this if CO had chips behind ...

I think in this case here I rarely fold as it's just not enough to even consider folding and I can open the side with basically a min-raise and see what happens with SB.

Yes, it's a crazy thought here but this fold 'may' create one or two things on the table. One, it can drive a Nit crazy when you show this kind of fold and two, the table sees it and may play back at you more with weaker holdings. I've had 'the Nit' leave the table when I made a fold like this before and the table was all smiles about it ...

Leak? For sure, fully admit, full disclosure ... but it sure is a fun way to crank up a table. GL

Thanks for the input guys. As played I just called the shove. I first had thoughts to reraise and isolate, but the since the SB had been showing me his garbage and seemed to loosen up considerably after he got his huge stack I felt comfortable playing a side pot with him. I felt I was going to be ahead of him most of the time in this spot. Turns out the SB folded anyway and the CO table 66 for a set. I did not plan on folding. I feared a set for sure but I could also see the CO shoving a nut flush draw or Kxc etc... I saw getting beat a portion of the time here but since the stack was small I felt fine playing for his short stack. Had he been deeper it would have been a tougher spot as I imagine CO may have just called to trap or still reraised since there were flush and straight draws. Had he had deeper stack and reraised I probably would have called but I feel I could have gotten away from the hand had I not improved.

You can't play a side pot unless you start one. Why let him call $65 into over $200 'on the cheap' getting better than 3 to 1 .. and you are OOP in a now bloated pot?

IMO make him pay now so you can get some chips back if you lose the main and he folds when you bet a safe Turn card. Yes, there's always the chance for a 3-bet if he wants to isolate. But I think he folds the Turn way more often than he 3-bets the Flop. GL

Good point and point taken, but the remaining player was the SB so I would have had position as I was the button.

Interesting spot. Which two cards otf are clubs and what are the suites of your hole cards? This deep I probably just flat. What hands in sb villain's range is he folding to a flop re-raise?

The 9 and 6 were clubs and the king was another suit. I forgot the specific suit of the King but i know for certain my hand did not have a club. I could certainly see the CO having a Kxc or Axc sort of hand since he limped and the called my raise preflop. Of course he could have sets here, maybe 2 pairs with K9 or K6 with Kc, though I dont feel I would see those sorts of two pair hands often. The CO is a regular and I have played with him before, not overly nitty but certainly not loose at all. Just seems like a standard player.
