No one was being a jerk to you, just brutally honest. You shouldn't take offence to anything that was said, its the internet after all. People around here, including me, get quite annoyed when a newb comes here thinking they are gods gift to poker, babbling nonsensically. But we have all thought we were much better at poker than we really were at one stage or another and we all got scowled at over it. Take this thread as a lesson, don't take it as a reason not to play poker. If you enjoy poker but don't have the interest to take it seriously just think of it as a hobby which will cost you a few dollars at the weekend. If you want to get better then be prepared to put in the work.
