I know there are bots that beat heads up. But googling online, i haven't seen a trusted article about poker bots beating 6 or 9 players NL game.
Not really following poker everyday so I maybe behind when it comes to latest news.

Plenty of bot rings have been busted over the years in both NL and PLO. There's a thread only a few posts down from yours posted by a company which helps sites find bots. Plenty of individual threads about specific bot rings too.

I'm not aware of any academic bot competitions which focus on 6/9 handed games if that's what you're asking.

Nowhere in that article (which is more than a year old, an eternity when it comes to technology) does it say anything remotely resembling that. To come to that conclusion you must have read the article with that opinion firmly established in your mind, and finding nothing directly contradicting it, assumed you were correct.

What the article says is that those games haven't been solved yet. One doesn't need to solve the game to beat it - if you did, there wouldn't be any pros.

TBH, I'm tempted to just lock this thread and tell you to do a little research - you'll find dozens, of not hundreds, of threads on our forums about botting. But instead I'll move it over to BQ; perhaps the kinder folks there may have some more insights and/or helpful links for you.
