Sample size for range refining.

Hi everybody, I would like to refine my preflop ranges using my database on PT4. For example, has it been more profitable calling with AQs in LP vs MP open or has raising been the better option, or 4betting Queens vs just calling 3bet. Reason for this is I often find myself wondering what to do and it's costing time.
Problem is I'm not sure how big of a sample is required to carry out such analysis. I currently have about 50k hands at 2nl.
I do understand that the answer to such questions will be villain specific, however I want to have a default strategy first and then decide whether to deviate depending on villain.
Thanks for reading
Jonny

If it's your chart you can pick any sample size you want. I would say that 50K is plenty to pick up on some patterns. Probably 20K was enough to get it going.
Your issue here is V type and stack size, which would really add to the chart and the data may not be available completely in all scenarios. GL
