running bad on pokerstars running bad on pokerstars

When I first started on pokerstars couple of months ago, I thought I was on top of the world, I was making profits, the green line, the blue line, the red line, were all a healthy positive for me in the SNG's that I wanted.

Everything was sweet, rosy for sometime and then it happened one day, the thing that I dreaded most, I could no longer finish in the top 3 of 180 man tourney's no matter how hard I tried, someone would always bust me on the final table when I was 9th or 5th or 6th, my JJ would not hold up against A3.

This was real depressing as if the doom switch got turned on, and as if my account was being targeted by pokerstars.

And this happenned not only in MTT's but also in cash games, the first hand and boom I lose my buy-in, My AA does not hold up. My sets do not hold up, there is a crazy 4 card flush on board.

I will post graphs of when I was running good and when I started running bad for cash and tourneys, also to show that I am a winning player, I will show my earliest tourney results, I was able to turn just 2.50$ into over 250$ in just 2 days, only recently I turned the privilege 100k freeroll entry into over 100$ in just 2 days as you might see from my graph, but the bad beats now just don't stop that make me want to never play on stars.

this is my first experience with pokerstars and hands are very limited

here is my cash graph before and after the doom switch was turned on

now the EV line has gone way up and actual profit has gone way down in -ve, this has happenned both on cash and tourneys.

I know that it does not mean much and does not even mean anything, but hey you can see my earliest results and compare with them the EV line does tell you that I am not making money and if I am not making money now why I was in the green ealier? I have not made any changes to my game, so why suddenly cash and tourney profits go down?

I have started to think that pokerstars can decide as to who runs good and who runs bad, a slight running bad can do a lot of damage as you can see from my before and after graphs.

1. You're running bad on posting graphs.

2. There is no such thing as a doom switch and stars does not decide who runs good or bad.

3. You could be running bad - all I know is that it's 2 months or less that you've had problems so yeah talk to people who run bad for 6 months. Sample size and all that. Or you could have been a fish on a heater and now the variance gravy train has run out.

4. If you want to turn it around, post hands you are not sure of, read strat and be involved in discussions. 'I'm running so bad!' threads don't help anyone and especially not you.

Here are OP's pictures, they're completely meaningless but at least here they're viewable.

You ran hot in the beginning and now you're not. You said you just started playing poker, so it's pretty likely that you're not very good at it (no offense) and your "doomswitched" results are closer to your real results than when you started off running great.

Just observe the long run average, stars being imo one of the places that gives one the best chance of long run winning and tracking sites show the same and from other sites also, though its not all that simple.

There is a boom, there is balancing, thats not news for me, been there ever since 2000 on every site. Its the reality of online poker. They dont accept that on this forum, not sure why not, but u just need to continue and see if ur long runs shows profits, though there are players who have played break even to losing poker 500k hands after their boom or normal run ended, and i think there is no way to run any better after one is getting normal or balanced cards when some 50 to 100k hands has been played, one needing to improve further. And do be aware if the games have become tougher.

This is most likely true. Also, before someone else says it, lolsamplesize.

Your total sample is what some people around here will play in a few hours. People run good and run bad, over MASSIVELY larger samples than this. It is inherent in the game of poker, and you should take it on board.
