Say you have a 20k roll and play exclusively on Pokerstars do you guys just keep it all in your Pokerstars account? Or do you guys have some in an e-wallet or bank account. If so what is the reason? I remember watching a few things and i think they kept a lot in an e-wallet but I'm thinking now that was to quickly transfer money around sites and not as like a security thing.

Not that I have much of a bankroll, but I think black Friday taught many players not to keep their entire bankroll in one place. If you have any kind of tilt issues it is also a good idea not to have easy access to your entire bankroll.

Keeping your whole bankroll on one site doesn't sound like a good idea at all.
It's not just the 'Black Friday factor'. There's also a small chance of your account getting hacked.
If there were no currency exchange fees I doubt I'd ever keep more than about 6 buy-ins online (I only play 4 tables), and I'd make weekly cashouts/deposits whenever I felt like moving money around. For the last couple of years, I've usually had less than 15 buy-ins on any one site.

Arty basically described what I was going to say. I'm somewhat of a bankroll nit so I would be playing 100NL/200NL mostly on 20k. With that being said I would never feel comfortable having more than 2000-3000 online.

Keep most of it accessible so your allowed to play live, and like others have said if you have any sort of tilt issues having a large chunk of your roll online can only lead to negative things.

Thanks guys, I play on $ tables with a $ account but I am from the UK. I am pretty sure my Skrill account is £ so I dunno if constantly moving money around like that would be a good idea? Maybe if I could convert my money bookers to $ but then would I pay more fees transferring to my bank account? Also is something like Skrill any more safe to store money than Pokerstars?

One more reason: you may get some tiny interest payment from your bank account. But zero interest from your poker account.

So i am from england what is my best option here, my pokerstars account is in $, it used to be in £ and i had auto currency convert on and was paying so much money to constantly convert without realising. I am thinking Pokerstars in USD, skrill in USD and pay the skrill fee when transferring to bank. (or would i pay less if skrill was in GBP)

If you're in the UK, is there any benefit to using Skrill as an intermediary? I just use my bank debit card for deposits and withdrawals.
On Stars, you can divide your roll into dollars, pounds and euros in the Cashier if you play on tables that use different currencies.

I'm not 100% sure but if you withdraw from $ to £ there is a charge. However if you change from $ to £ before withdrawing there is no charge.

Google will probably give you the correct answer for this.
