Hi Beginners forums posters and lurkers

Recently there has been a spate of spam (ie mobile phones) and also reports of posters receiving unsolicited PMs from people attempting to sell them stuff or sell stuff on their behalf (such as intunes cards, pt3 etc)

This Public Service Announcement is to let you know that if you receive such a PM or see spam them you should notify a moderator such as myself or Cry Me a River. We will then action it accordingly using the mod tools that are available to us.

Spamming and scamming will not be tolerated here in beginners.

In the case of PMS, you should not reply to their PM but instead send us a PM to let us know (even scammers arent stupid enough to spam moderators funnily enough).

In the case of spam threads, just hit the notify moderator button (!) next to the post and that way all mods of the forum it was posted in will get the notification so we can nuke it asap.
