Probability per combination on pre-flop [help needed] Probability per combination on pre-flop [help needed]

Hi,

Have been playing poker for quite a while now, but I want to dive somewhat deeper in, especially in statistics and such. For starters, does anyone have a list of the strength per each hand?

Let say AA pre flop will see you winning 99 out of 100 hand, but you will only 1 out of 100 when playing 27o

As someone who is finally getting better at the game, I truly want to understand this. Percentage wise, what is the probability of winning pre-flop per combination?

Thanks,
PokerPacino

No.

Not that simple.

Not very useful.

Look at something else to study.

Is something like this what you are looking for?

All 169 holdem hands ranked by strength

What do you mean "aces win 99 out of 100 hands"? In what scenario? Against what hand?

"Chance of winning" is a useless statistic. Who cares how often you win? How much you win is what matters.

Indeed, I meant this. Wanted to know the strenghts per combination preflop. It won't drastically help me, but at least now I have an overview. Thanks for the link!

As someone who is an winning player on 0.02/0.05 tables, what would be an logical "next step"? Not regarding moving up a table, but more in the sense of improving my knowledge about the game. Note: I play on 0.02/0.05, so I am not the best poker player in the world, of course.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Every piece of critiscm or help is appreciated. Because I know I need it.

Get the book called "The Grinder's Manual" and learn it well.

If your site provides hand histories, get a tracker like HEM or PT. It's not a particularly useful stat, as mentioned above, but you can actually look up the results for every holecard combination in HEM. In cash games, AA wins 85-90% of the time for me, as it wins without getting into a race pretty often. It's not how often you win that really counts though. More important is maximising your profits when you're ahead, and minimising losses with the worst hand.
