all i can say is these

-ppl in 50nl hu suck but will crush you if you have come from play money
-you are not ready to jump to 50nl from play money.. u need to play smaller ..2nl or 5nl... though it may not seem like it, there is a huge difference in quality ...think of it this way thse that play 50nl have come through the ranks and have the experience of probably tens/hundreds of thousands of hands on various lower limits.

-if you are interested in hu i would suggest you start with husngs.. and learn the basics of hu strategy.. visit the hunl forums and ask some questions/read stickies

You're at the 1000 chip buy-in. Just keep getting it in with top pair and big pairs pf, and then keep moving up and up.

I was suffering from loss of confidence the other day and played about 30k hands of 3000/6000 playmoney and I ran soooo bad.

OP I suggest you play on the hill more often and when you are a winner there play nl$50HU.

From my experience the winning players on hill are superior to the NL$50_HU players

I can confirm that there are people out there who will pay for play chips. I used to play a LOT of play money a few years ago at UB and I made a couple of small sales to a guy who traded play chips. UB eventually killed the market by limiting transfers of play chips to a ridiculously small number, and also confiscating play chips if you got more than 20mil. Those things, plus the fact that I got a job made me give up poker for a while.

The one thing I do find amazing is that the OP apparently found one customer degen enough to sell $1,800 to. I can understand paying a little to avoid the tables that have a min buy-in of 1000 or less. If you think that 2NL is a sick place, you should try a 250 play chip 90 man SNG. But $1800 is an insane amount to spend.

Consider HUSnGs. I suggest this because it is my choice of game at the moment, but I do believe that it is easy to get into because they are available at low buyins (start with ones with 5% rake or less) and has a simpler basic strategy with which you can beat lower levels, but with enough intricacies for improving and getting edges against better players. FTP is also pretty good for HUSnGs.

Finally, get rakeback, if you do not have it already.

It may help you to remember that even a world class player will often lose $5 (unless the sessions are sufficiently long). Those losses will occur at all levels. Also, there are fish at all levels. You’ve proven your ability to win when playing against schools of fish.

Please continue to play at the micro levels until you’re convinced (not just logically, but emotionally) that you can beat them. The losses should no longer bother you. Then move up gradually. I think Vishnu90 gave good advice on this.

You can’t imagine how many of us are rooting for you. Keep up the good work. Please post here occasionally, and let us know how you’re doing.
