i've been trying to figure this out myself...

but you're probably a pro and all that so...does having stats on an opponent change the way you play/make you a winner (considering you're a decent player) ??

Hem shouldn't help for sngs I don't think, read the stickies in the STT forum and watch some of the free sng vids. Then get ICM wizard and plug numbers away, as long as you keep grind on the mind it'll be fine.

Go to rakeaway.com, find the best no-money deposit plan that suits you (pokerstrategy.com has got a few on ps, ftp, titan and pp with a free $50 and and extra 50$ in bonuses) and start playing a single table a 2NL; once comfy there, add a table and go up to 4. Grind it out, get your bonuses, increase bankroll to $100. Then move up.

I wouldn't start with SNGs. Go to STT and check what kind of bankroll you need to play at the lowest buy-ins. I would suspect it is higher than $50.

I have looked at "Beginners Forum Frequently Asked" but there is no page or error mesage 404(page not found).

It is two player no limit texas holdem game.

I like to learn more about raise sizing in plain english, with jargon glossary provided please.

If the first number (VP$P) and second number (PFR) are the same, then yes, villian is raising every hand they are involved in pf, over your 100 hand sample.

Hi there, I had a couple of simple questions.

First off, what does everyone think is the most lucrative tables to play as a beginner? MTT, SnG, cash games? I've mostly been doing 9man SnGs on Full Tilt but haven't really progressed at all over the last week and a half(Fluctuating between 1/2 and 2x my initial bankroll).

Second, I downloaded hold em manager 2 days ago and noticed the articles on plugging leaks, but they seemed more geared towards cash game play. How might you adjust that advice or use the software to improve tournament play instead?

They're raising every hand they play. They're not playing every hand, they're playing 30% of hands.

Now when ppl say that someone is playing w/ 30% of hands...

what specific hands are they talking about? you can figure that out on pokerstove right? And how?

Click on "Player 1" and then the "Preflop" tab. Then just type in the percent or use the slider. You may need to play with ranges yourself a bit because most times I don't really agree exactly with what pokerstove calls a 30% range. For instance, it leaves out 44-22. Almost everyone playing a 30% range will play any pocket pair, imo.

(I'm actually no where near 10k/20k, just shooting for it.)
