Has anyone here figured out how to sign up for this freeroll on Pokerstars called "EPT Deauville Webcast Depositor Freeroll" (under Tourney->Feeroll tab)? It seems to have pretty decent prizes and I recognize a lot of players from the players list whom I've played with so eventhough it has 'depositors' in it's name I doubt these people have payed or deposited anything to sign up for it. Googling about it doesn't help, I've tried that many times.

Description on Pokerstars says "Watch the EPT Deauville webcast for a special deposit code for this tourney", but there's no link provided or anything...

Probably a dumb question, so I guess this is the place for it.

Was thinking of doing a P2P transfer to get some money in my Lock poker acct.

Have looked at the transfer forum and all the rules, but I don't have any money on any other poker sites, if you dont count FT and UB yipee.

Could do a wire transfer from my bank but is that kosher?

Also, what is netspend, gdmp, amazon transfers etc? Are these gift cards? How do they work and how do you transfer using these??

Any help is much appreciated.

Are there tournaments on Pokerstars where the blind level change time changes (or do such exist at all on any site?). For example first 5 levels change every 10 minutes and every level after this is every 5 minutes? So regular speed tourney that changes into a turbo tourney for example?

dp, it depends...but the calculations DO get pretty hairy once you start factoring in all the players in the main pot (I have a 20% to win) then the side (I have a 45% to win)....can I call at 3:1. But yes, you really do need to factor the 20% into the final "do I call" question.....and all the related pots and stacks_remaining.

Main + side for Expressed odds, main + side + small stack (or how much more you think you can win) for implied.

advice please on which forum to post a thread:
I've chosen 2p2 as a subject for a college linguistics project/paper on morphology, specifically word-formation processes. I want to start a thread that will generate discussion from people in the know about how poker terms used here on 2p2 came into being and how they are used. I was thinking of "the lounge," but it doesn't get much traffic.
Also if u know of any subject matter experts on this I could interview, please advise, it'd be much appreciated. I have a few weeks on this. Below is my proposal, tl;dr:

A poker speech community has developed alongside a set of ever-changing lexical items unique to poker. I'll study this community in terms of internet language, as used on the world's most heavily trafficked poker forums at twoplustwo.com. My study will delve into morphology and word-formation processes, such as back formation, abbreviation, acronym, and clipping. I'll open a discussion on the twoplustwo.com website. I'll cite from "The Story of English," our text and the Oxford English Dictionary. I'll pull from several other academic sources:

I'm trying to answer how certain lexical items unique to poker are being used on message boards and/or how they came into being. I chose this topic, because I'm on the website everyday, working to better myself as a poker player. Also, when I attempt to talk to non-poker players about poker, I realize how rich and unique the language specific to poker is. The way we communicate on poker forums and use our poker language is interesting.
