Ok this question is kind of dumb.

I'm trying to figure out if I should adjust my small blind and big blind strategies or try to keep playing the same. I play 6max 25nl to 50nl.

Assuming bb/100 (not ptbb), in nl cash, what would be a good win rate for the blinds. Or like an average win rate or something.

This all comes about because I looked at my stats by position from January and noticed I was playing my second highest amount of hands from the small blind second only to the button and my win rate from the small blind was -14.82bb/100. Basically I'm wondering how bad this is or what a good win rate is from the blinds. Also it's usually going to be negative, correct? Thought I remembered reading that somewhere. Thanks

ps: I did find 1 thread while searching where people were listing win rates from the blinds but they seemed to be all over the place and I couldn't figure out what was good and what was bad. Thanks!

PT2 doesn't have graphing capabilities. PT3 does.

You need extra of software like PokerGrapher.

using PT2 (text added in photoshop):

click any little "g" you see above one of the stats windows.

for the win/loss graph above, I went to game notes tab, "get all hands", and click the purple "g" button. That one allows you to choose how many samples to graph. With 10's of thousands of hands, graphing every hand with the red "g" would be overkill.

once you have a graph, right click on it for options

If you folded every hand in the blinds you would have -50BB/100 from the big blind and -25BB/100 from the small blind (recall that 1BB = two big blinds). If your results are better than that you're doing something right. I don't know of anyone actually making money in the blinds. My personal stats (full ring) are -17 in the BB and -6 in the SB.

Hope this helps

What does ldo stand for? People always tend to use it at the end of sentences and for the life of me I can't figure out the acronym.

cutoff is always the seat to act right before the button. sometimes people refer to the preceding seat as the hijack (or hj).

so you have utg, utg+1,mp1, mp2... hj, co, button, sb, bb

6 handed, you just have utg, mp, co, button, sb, bb

If you are first to act pre-flop (to the left of the big blind) you are under the gun.

It means he plays alot, but does playing alot relate directly to being good?

I agree, but the odds are in favor of a skilled player I think.

You can probably assume he's not a donk. However, a lot of SuperNovas aren't particularly good either.

<------------------

On thing to keep in mind though is the context of him being there. If you're playing 2NL or a $1 tournament, what is a SuperNova doing there? Chances are he's either making a video (ie; for a training site or a forum) in which case he'll likely be playing well. Or he's there to blow off steam and may be donking around like a nut.

lol. Bakes theory is posting a rail call (meaning you are at the ft of a tournament and you want people to come watch you) AFTER you have already completed the tournament.

example: You start a thread with the title being:
$5.50 6max ft on stars

then in the thread you say, It's over, I finished 2nd for $1,252.68.

Basically its just a brag, but you put it in the form of a rail call.

if your playing live and sitting next some drunk guy and if look anywhere towards him you see hole cards because he not protecting them at all. is this against the rules to look them or is at best a little unethical? could the dealer get mad at you?
