Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Use position more, and be less passive. You are definitely not stealing enough.

Spade Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

Hi, i have my global statistics, positional statistics and a graph to go along with it for you guys to analyze.

I started with a bankroll of 10$, playing 2NL 6-Max while 12 or 9 tabling and i have now moved to 5NL 6-Max where i have started out 6 tabling. The bankroll management technique i am using is 20-25 max buy-ins before starting a new limit.

The sample size is 21363 hands built over 20 days of play (Actual sample size indicated is 21502 but i am excluding one short session of 25c/50c limit hold'em which is not valid for statistical analysis. The small dip in the graph seen at about 10500 hands is due to this session). The upwards spike towards the end of the graph at about 20900 hands is due to me moving up to 5NL because my bankroll was allowing me to start.

Although i have seen my statistics i am not table to say exactly where my leaks are and would like the opinion of anyone who is able to offer it. Thanks a lot !

Alex

P.S: I have blocked out my alias and the statistics of 25c/50c limit seeing as they are not relevant.

Re: Criticize my stats please

cbet less/ fold your cbet to a raise less. raising only 7% of hands means u shud pretty much flop the nuts every time so idk how ur finding folds lol.

does pt3 let u post stats by position?

Re: ** Official Beginners NL Holdem Stats Thread **

jumboAL: Frankly, these are stunning stats. You are crushing the levels for 15 bb/100. You have both your red line and your blue line going up (a rare achievement). Your W$WSF is good for NL5, a bit low for NL2 -- but that's quite likely due to no one ever folding at that level.
Two points to improve, and they're strongly related:
(1) Steal way more from button and cut-off
(2) Play more hands from late position period. Your VPIP is below 20 and nearly equal in every position. Stay as tight as you are in EP (maybe even tighter), but you can open up a lot in late position. Open-raie more, iso-raise limpers more, just raise more in LP.

this is something that i know i need to do.. however in 5nl if there are people with a 50%+ vpip i wont try and steal unless i have decent cards.. and also i didnt try to steal much at 2nl just cuz its 2nl and i was usually playing 12+ tables at a time..

ive seen u around at the 5nl tables tho i think

Re: Criticize my stats please

mate seriously dont play 12 tables. it will do you no good at all.

learning to fold everything except for when u raise AA then bet pot for 3 streets isnt going to improve u as a player

thats not what i do at all.. i played a good range at 2nl.. and at 5nl i only play 6 tables.. 2 nl was just so easy that playing more tables was +EV

If you're playing against a villain with 50% VPIP then your range of "decent cards" should increase by a ton, especially when you have position. Do You See Why?

Being so nitty, you might want to try a full ring game. That way your loses from folding and not going to showdown won't be so dramatic. Also, you can play the 12 tables you want to play because there is more time between the action at each table and you can survey the player reads before you make each decision.

thats not the way i look at it.. against a nit with a 10% vpip u can steal almost everytime cuz he rarely calls.. against a calling station who plays 50% u wanna raise and make sure ur hand is better so u can extract value after the flop

i had a 42% att to steal with a 52+ success, i recommend your first play 6 or 8 tables, and play less OOP and more IP

if you want to speak about for skype or something just add me, search "ligarius"
