No, do it yourself.

Ok, let me rephrase my question. It's not a noob question like "wtf are these things" it's a question like "I bet some people on here that have been around a lot longer than me know of some threads that discuss these topics, perhaps threads from years ago."

The reason I ask is because using the search function above, I can only find threads in which these topics were mentioned, not (necessarily) discussed in detail or at length or where they were the subject of the thread.

What do you mean by this? Yes, you do mind, because while these threads are out there you don't care to take the time to go find them for me because you've read them before but don't know where to find them again/exactly what they're called? (completely understandable answer). Or "no," these threads don't exist, the best you can do to study these topics is read articles online. Or you don't exactly know but you don't want to spend time on this endeavor (again completely understandable).

Not sure about specific guides to balancing but the basics are in most decent poker books. Merging ranges is just a by-product of playing optimally and not something which is generally good strategy in itself. As for capped ranges, I wrote this a while back:

Donkr articles on post-flop: http://en.donkr.com/Articles/Categor...%27em-6-Max-17

Donkr articles on pre-flop: http://en.donkr.com/Articles/Categor...%27em-6-Max-16

Both of the above are based on strategies popularized by Matt Janda. I'm not sure if OP just wanted definitions of the terms he listed, or if he already knows roughly what they mean, but Janda's book is pretty much required reading once you understand the basic concepts.
