These were originally posted on HigherLevelPoker.com, which is the micro stakes training site he was working on before he died. It was a competitor to the likes of DeucesCracked and Cardrunners, but had a cheaper monthly membership fee of $10 compared to the standard $30 charged at other training sites.
I started hosting HigherLevelPoker.com after Jack died, and removed the membership wall so that all the videos could be watched for free. Eight years later the website still gets daily visitors, but not as much as it used to.
I'm in the process of upgrading the server the site is hosted on, but to keep it going would involve setting up the site on a new system. I'm pretty good with websites, but this one is written in Perl, and it's just going to cause me more problems than it's worth.
However, the strategy articles and some of the videos are good, so instead of taking the website offline completely I've
transferred the content to my main strategy website. I've formatted and edited each of the articles in the process to give them the readability they deserve. They may have been written a few years ago, but the strategy is still relevant.
I'm going to continue hosting all the videos for download too. The coaches include:
- Jack "Hoodlincs" Wilcox
- Jonathan "thatssosick" Chan
- Daniel "Keyser" Haase
- Craig "crussty1" Russel
- Kyle "Shipit2kg" Garner
I don't know if any of these coaches are still around, but just so you know, your work is still online.
I'm going to leave the site up for another week or so before taking it down. I've moved all the useful content to a new home though, so nothing will be lost apart from the old website design.
I hope you find the articles useful. Jack was a good player and a great coach.
Greg.
